"Commissioner Portie-Ascott is rooted in faith, service, and community. Values that she demonstrates everyday in representing District 2 on the Board of County Commissioners, especially when it comes to advocating for the poor and marginalized. She's details and solutions oriented, something we don't always see in our elected officials. I'm proud to support her for a full-term as our District 2 Commissioner."

I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically endorse Phyllis Portie-Ascott for Orange County District 2 County Commissioner. In the several years I have known Phyllis, she has been exceedingly thoughtful, solution-oriented and deeply committed to serving the people of our community.
Among her many leadership roles, Phyllis served as Acting Chair of the Orange County Democratic Party, where she worked tirelessly to ensure voters had the best experience possible at the polls and inspired many new community members to get involved in voter education.
Phyllis’ leadership skills, intellect and integrity have consistently impressed me - and many leaders across Orange County. The Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved her appointment to serve District 2 to fill a vacancy left when Renée Price was elected to the NC House.
I urge all Orange County voters in District 2 to vote to keep Phyllis Portie-Ascott as their Commissioner on Tuesday, March 5, 2023.

Phyllis' can-do spirit and commitment to service is just what Orange County needs on the Board of Commissioners. Let's keep her!
